Have you ever felt like you needed a space away from your norm/every day life? An escape to let your creative side loose. I tend to lean more toward that creative side and I’ve come to that realization in the last couple years. Which is funny to me because growing up I wanted all the musical instruments, all types of paint and I bought easels and packs of canvas to put my artwork on. This is when I was young though, and then I started to grow up and had this idea from who knows where that this stuff was more on the childish side and I just put it away. I’m attempting to get my whimsy back as they call it. So, here we are. Starting with a blog. Something I’ve thought about doing for years. Something that I’ve started, stopped, said it’s not for me. Something that I actually believe helps me process anything in my life from big changes or hard conversations. Writing always makes me feel lighter. Writing also helps me remember. Actually – I don’t know about that bit. I hope it will though!
I’ve always loved reading about people’s lives and as I’ve grown older I think it’s better to share stories than to keep them private. I might not have a lot of advice here, but I do hope to share about my own life with my faith, personal life, and my travels.

A little short snippet about me and maybe we have some relative interests:
I was born in Alaska, but raised in Florida. Crazy twist, I know. I’ve always been an outdoorsy type of person, but I do hate the bugs – sorry! I grew up around the beach for all my life until I moved to Charlotte, NC which is where I am now.
I graduated from FSU with an Ex. Phys degree. I stayed in Tallahassee for a few more years after, just working until I decided to quit my job and travel the world on my savings with my boyfriend (now husband). We were in Germany for 3 months, but had to come back home. That was the same year covid started.
During a 2ish year span we created a business and moved ourselves to Charlotte and have been here since 2022! Charlotte is definitely a hub for new people. Even the first year we moved here, I kid you not, everyone we met all said they too had just moved there.
Like I said, I truly enjoy being active. I love working out at the gym and being active playing sports. I currently spend most of my time playing beach volleyball. I’m very into women doubles – so if you’re a fellow hobbyist in the sport reach out and let’s get some games going! I also have a dog, so we’re constantly taking walks and exploring new trails to go on. You could say she’s spoiled (I would also say that), but I like to switch her walks up if I can because I think it gets old for her to walk the same environment every time. I think you can also notice she gets bored from the repetition. Which, now that I think about it, is that actually good for dogs??
We frequent Freedom Park and different parts of the Greenway. These tend to be our go-tos and the most convenient. Especially if it’s just me and my pup! Even though she doesn’t like other people and can likely deter anyone, I like to go where there’s a person or two for safety.
My husband and I just got married at the end of last year in Charlotte. We love exploring new restaurants and coffee shops in Charlotte and that’s how we spend most of our time here! We’re not big on being out late or drinking, but we also aren’t opposed to going into a beautiful restaurant or bar and ordering a seasonal cocktail or glass of wine. We love playing games and spending time with our friends when schedules align.
